care instructions
My stoneware tableware is a durable and versatile choice for your dining needs. It's sturdy and doesn't chip easily. Here are few tips to ensure your plates and bowls remain in excellent condition even after hundreds or uses:
WASHING
Hand washing recommended. Dishwashers are not strictly forbidden, but please follow certain instructions.
Although stoneware is generally dishwasher-safe, hand-washing is recommended to prolong its life. Use lukewarm soapy water and a soft sponge or cloth to clean the crockery. Avoid abrasive products or scouring pads, as they may scratch the glaze.
However, if you decide to use a dishwasher, make sure that the stoneware pieces are spaced out to prevent them from colliding. Use a mild, non-abrasive detergent. Do not use a heavy-duty washing program and do not exceed 50°. Avoid high-temperature drying cycles, as extreme temperature changes can weaken stoneware and cause cracking.
STAIN REMOVAL
For stubborn stains or food residues, soak the affected piece in warm, soapy water before washing. Baking soda and water paste can be used to remove stubborn stains. Apply the paste, let it sit for a short time, and then gently scrub.
DO NOT SUBJECT PARTS TO SUDDEN AND EXTREME TEMPERATURE CHANGES
The pieces are made of non-culinary stoneware, i.e. they are not intended for use as gratin dishes or cake molds. Do not use in ovens above 100°, nor in microwaves. Do not freeze stoneware pieces to place them in an oven, as this may cause thermal shock and lead to cracking or breakage.
STACKING AND STORAGE
When storing stoneware, stack pieces carefully, using soft cloth or felt liners between them to prevent scratching. Avoid nesting stoneware pieces tightly for long periods, as this can lead to glaze wear.
AVOID ABRASIVES AND METAL UTENSILS
Use wooden, in recycled/recyclable plastic, or silicone utensils to avoid scratching the glaze. Avoid cutting directly on stoneware surfaces, as this can damage both the tableware and your knives.
GLAZE INSPECTION
Periodically inspect the glaze for any signs of wear, cracking, or chipping. Discontinue use if you notice significant damage to the glaze.
